Structure Fire Hayes St. 2/1/11

Dispatched by Luzerne County Communications Center to 674 N. Hayes Street on a reported possible structure fire. L-1, E-2, E-3, C-1, C-2, C-3, APTS, responded. C-3 arrived on scene to find the structure locked, with a smoke condition visable in the building. Forced entry into the structure, found light smoke condition on the first floor. Found food burned on a stove, left unattended. Crews immedatly removed the food.The fire was contained to the pot on the stove, no extenstion. Shut stove down, Used PPV fan to remove smoke from the structure, Met with tennant who returned while fire department was on the scene. Stated she just ran out for a few minute and forgot about the food on the stove. All fire units placed available.
