Another small fire in the city for Group 1

Group 1 was dispatched by Luzerne county to an automatic fire alarm 8 W. Broad St. the Hayden Towers. Crews arrived and found the alarm was sounded in the kitchen of the restaurant. Crews investigated the area and found the wet chemical Ansil system had been activated. As crews checked behind the stove hood filters crews found that a small grease fire melted fusible link and charged the system. There was no active fire or extension at this time. The kitchen received no contamination of extinguishing agent. The building manager and owner were contacted and will restore the system. All units were released and returned to service.
