Hazleton City Fire Group 2 with Deputy Chief Shawn Jones responded to 606 Peace St for a working kitchen fire.
Dispatched for a possible structure fire at 606 North peace St. C-2, ladder 1,
engines 2 & 3 respond. While en route HPD on scene reporting a kitchen fire, heavy
smoke showing and occupants exiting ,Fire units arrive on scene with smoke showing. Crews
went in and found a pan of cooking oil on the stove with fire spreading to
cabinetry, extinguished and the home was ventilated. No injuries.
